Frozen Feet & Soggy Socks

Our first tournament of the year saw the gamut in terms of weather – cold, hot, sun, rain, wind; you name it, we saw it over the two days of play. Three divisions of girls playing for the title and Mikasa swag. When it was over, 3 pairs came out on top. Frozen Feet Tourney Rescheduled

Seems old man winter isn’t quite ready to give up this year! Given the winter storm that is moving in today and tonight, we are postponing the Frozen Feet Tournament until March 21st-22nd. We’ve been very fortunate with the weather that we’ve had for our Juniors Winter League so I guess we can’t complain. If you’ve already registered for this weekend, no further action is required and you are automatically registered for March 21st-22nd. If you are unable to attend the re-scheduled date, please contact Continue reading →

Happy Vollidays To You!

Our last tourney of the year featured extremes. Extremely excited jrs anxious for their first tourney with new teammates and then the reality of playing on a weekend that started rainy and chilly, but ended sunny and mild. There were several exciting matches, and all 3 of the finals had parents on the edge of their seats. If this is the level that these athletes are playing in the preseason, next year promises to be an exciting one! You can see pics of the action Continue reading →

Collegiate Sand Clash Wrap-Up

Well, it was one for the record books. The Collegiate Sand Clash; featuring FSU, GSU, LSU, SC, and UAB, was definitely the coldest event we’ve ever held. With morning temps starting at around 28 degrees, it made for a slow start. However, the ladies warmed up quickly and the play got under way with the sun doing it’s part to warm everyone else. In the end, FSU sand teams took the title and the trophy home to Tallahassee. If you’d like to see pics from Continue reading →

LakePoint Sand Series Championship Results

The final tournament of the series was played over the weekend at LakePoint. All told, the series drew hundreds of players from across 5 states.  The Championship featured the top points players representing three divisions, all fighting it out for the title.  While last year we battled rain all summer, this year it was the heat! The play and the sand were hot and the series finished on the hottest day of play yet. Several players cramped, cold showers were a must and hydration was Continue reading →

The LakePoint Sand Series is a wrap!

This past weekend was the 5th event of the LakePoint Sand Series. What started out as a pleasant morning turned into a literal oven by lunchtime.  Hats off to all players and spectators who came out during one of the hottest tournament day of the summer as 31 teams battled it out on the sand through the sweat and cramps.  Congrats to the following finalists who outlasted them all: Mens Open 1.  Danny Cook / Shawn Dobanton 2.  Matt Wallace / Larry Salefsky Womens Open 1.  Mel Schmitz / Continue reading →

The Juniors Season Comes To A Close…

We sincerely thank all of the players, coaches and especially parents who helped make this inaugural season a success. Your support and encouragement are indications we are on the right track! With your input, we will do our best to continue to grow the sport of volleyball and support the players. We are currently planning our fall schedule for anyone who wants to keep their toes in the sand and get a few more touches on the ball. School has started and that signals the Continue reading →
