Sally Polhamus

Director of Volleyball, RallyVB

Sally is passionate about growing the game of volleyball and volunteers to serve on multiple committees for the AVCA and NCAA as well as other local organizations. Sally is a former D1 Volleyball Coach who retired from coaching after 25 years in the college game. She has coached and recruited in the Big Ten, SEC, ACC, Big South and Sun Belt conferences. Her teams have made far runs into the NCAA tournaments. During her career, several recruiting classes were ranked in the Top 10 with the 2014 class ranked 4th in the country. She has coached multiple All-Americans, All-Conference selections and Conference Players of the Year throughout her lengthy college career.

Sally’s coaching career include: Georgia State (Head Coach), University of Florida (Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator), Winthrop University (Head Coach), Georgia Tech (Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator), Indiana University (Assistant Coach), University of Dayton (Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator). Most recently, Sally has come out or retirement joining the PVF’s Atlanta Vibe in 2024 as Assistant Coach, in their inaugural season.

Sally played collegiately at Xavier University, and still holds multiple records. She was inducted into the Xavier University Hall of Fame in her first year of eligibility. Sally is married to Steve Polhamus, and they live in Atlanta.
