Endless Winter AAU (Grand Prix): February 25th & 26th, 2023

We look forward to having you join us for this 2-day tournament here in Atlanta:

– 16U play Saturday

– 14U & 18U play Sunday

Registration closes at midnight on Thursday before the event. If something comes up and you need to cancel a registration, we ask that you let us know ASAP as this will affect the schedule. See below for refund policy.

Communications:

An email will go out Friday by 6 pm, on the day before the event with the schedule. The email will also include information regarding the weather, check in link, live-scoring link and any other relevant information. Do NOT contact us prior to Friday evening regarding the schedule as we need time to create it.

Check-In:

Check-in the morning of your event between 8:30am-8:45am. Check-in can be done on-site or via the check-in link provided in the Friday email. Matches will begin promptly by 9am.

Schedule:

The format will consist of pool play followed by playoff brackets for the age groups. Both are played on the same day. On-Line scheduling & scoring will be provided and can be followed via clicking on the link provided.

Spectators:

There is no gate charge to enter. There is WiFi, power and shade. There is limited seating provided, please plan accordingly. There are outdoor showers for athletes. There are bathrooms on site, please know we reserve the right to shut down showers and bathrooms should weather conditions worsen.

Weather:

We play through rain and pause for lightening. Should weather become too extreme, we reserve the right to cancel or postpone an event.

Coaches:

Please check in with the TD on site morning of, with all necessary credentials. Parents, you are NOT allowed to coach at our tournaments, you are there to be encouraging.

Refund Policy:

Cancellations happen, we understand that sometimes life gets in the way of our volleyball (but we all try to make sure it doesn’t happen too often). We will refund your fee in full, less the processing fee, if notice is received 72 hours prior to the start of the event (before Wed morning for Sat event). 50%, less the processing fee will be refunded if notified 71 – 12 hrs prior to start time. After that, there is no refund. To ensure that a refund goes to the correct team, please forward your receipt from registration to info@rallyvb.com.

TYPES OF QUALIFYING EVENTS

  • Grand Prix Events** (must take place after November 1st)
    1. Open to all teams nationwide
    2. Grand Prix events qualify four (4) teams with a minimum of ten (10) teams entered
    3. Events must be approved by the AAU Volleyball Committee.
    4. Girls 16U and 18U qualify for the West Coast AAU Junior Olympic Games
    5. There must be a minimum of 5 teams in the age division in order for any teams to qualify.
    6. If the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th place TEAM has previously earned a bid in the same age division, the 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th place team WILL NOT qualify. No teams placing lower than 4th will earn a bid.
    7. Any Grand Prix event that does not meet the minimum requirements may be subject to removal from licensing the following year or reclassified as a preliminary.
  • National Championships
    1. The top 8 teams in each division (girls’ 12U, 14U, and 15U only) qualify to the Tour Championships. There must be a minimum of 10 teams in the division in order for any teams to qualify.
  • Trickle Down Bids
    1. Are to be determined by the National Office ONLY. An event host is NOT to issue a trickle down bid.
    2. A trickle down bid will only be issued by the National Office if the team (must be the same 2 partners) has previously earned a bid TOGETHER in the same age division. If the National Office determines that this is the case, the event host will be contacted to confirm the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th place team and issue the bid directly to the team.
    3. Trickle down bids are NOT issued if a team will not be participating in the West Coast AAU Junior Olympic Games.
    4. If an event host informs you that you have received a trickle down bid, please contact volleyball@aausports.org.

*NOTE: Teams who qualify for the AAU Junior Olympic Games, West Coast AAU Junior Olympic Games, Best of the Beach, Tour Championships, or 18U National Level events but the one partner is unable to compete, the remaining partner may select an alternate AAU member to compete with at the event. Athletes who qualify with more than one partner will select which partner he/she will compete with at the event and the remaining partner may select an alternate AAU member to compete with at the event.
